MaxMAME changed: 06/11/04

I have discontinued QMAME.LD and moved to using the source of AdvanceMAME. AdvanceMAME allows for screen sizing optimizations and uses the SDL libraries. Games will adjust to the screen almost perfectly and the UI (TAB Key) and the /home/root/.advance/advmame.rc file make it possible to adjust the setting of the keys for anyones environment. Please make sure to set video_mode to sdl in the advmame.rc file. This version does not seem to work with OZ3.0. Requires: SDL and ZLib NOTE: Some people with the default Sharp ROM are having problems with the emulator trying to create a .advance directory off of /root. This is a read-only directory on the Sharp ROM. Try typing 'export HOME=/mnt/card/' or 'export HOME=/mnt/cf' before running the emulator to get it to create the directory on your storage card. Substitute any writable directory after 'export HOME=' to fit your system setup. CHANGES: Version 1.2 now replaces version 1.0 at the download location. The latest version is more optimized and also has the 'Q' key mapped for quitting the application. As well, I have included my advmame.rc file and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND USING IT as it allows for most games to be playable. The code is now based off of MAME 0.62 and the latest version of AdvanceMAME. More games are now playable and using the included advmame.rc allows for games like gauntlet, gladiator and many, many more to also be played faster.
